Honestly, the first time I heard about an officiant was the first time I was asked to be one. I always thought weddings were done by religious pastors, priests etc. However, to my surprise, I was able to be a part of my sister's special day. I love the idea of having a ceremony that aligns with both partners. Whether that be a religiously driven or a non-religious ceremony. We are all unique in how we express and receive love.
